EDISON, NJ – St. Francis Brooklyn sophomore attacker
Kelsey Snelgar was tabbed the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office today. Snelgar takes home the award for the third time this season.
The sophomore was named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week on February 6 and March 6, respectively. With her third MAAC Offensive Player of the Week honor, Snelgar has earned the award more than any other student-athlete in the league this season.
Snelgar tallied 21 points (14 goals and seven assists) in a 2-0 weekend for the Terriers. The sophomore began the week with eight goals and three assists in a 24-3 win over Connecticut College. In the second game of the day on Sunday, she scored six goals and dished out four assists in a 32-3 triumph over Utica College.
The Terriers return to the pool to continue their conference slate on Saturday, March 23. They take a short trip to Staten Island, NY, where they face Iona, Siena, and Marist.
