Terriers Sweep Saint Peters on Wednesday Evening

Brooklyn Heights, NY- The St. Francis Brooklyn women's volleyball team (3-5) swept the visiting Saint Peter's University Peacocks (0-8) on Wednesday evening at the Genovesi Center.  The Terriers prevailed in straight sets, with the set scores being 25-17, 25-18, 25-19.  

Freshman Cristal Paulino had a stellar evening, racking up 10 kills with just one error in 14 attempts for a .643 attack percentage.  Paulino added seven blocks and five digs for the match.

Senior Madison Monahan posted a nine kill effort, finishing with a .280 attack percentage, and added two blocks.

Senior Angelee Ng compiled 26 assists and 11 digs, and closed out the match with her lone kill of the evening.

Freshman Mackenzie Gilchrist served four aces.

As a team, the Terriers racked up 36 kills, and served seven aces. Defensively, they posted totals of 10 team blocks and 53 digs.

The Terriers continue their season this weekend at the Columbia University Tournament.  They will face Columbia on Friday evening, and then take on Seton Hall University on Saturday morning before closing out their weekend with a match against Iona College on Saturday afternoon.
