FAIRFIELD, CT – The St. Francis College Brooklyn women's volleyball team (10-14, 3-6 NEC) was topped by Sacred Heart (12-10, 7-2 NEC) in straight sets on Friday night in Fairfield, CT.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
St. Francis Brooklyn – 0 | Sacred Heart – 3 (18-25, 20-25, 22-25)
- The Terriers had a total of five student-athletes record five or more kills in the match and were led by junior hitter Una Stevic. Stevic notched eight kills and picked up eight digs en route to a near double-double performance. The junior tallied 10 points in the match as she had two block assists and a service ace to go along with her eight kills.
- Senior middle blocker Taris Pittman continued her hot hitting as she recorded a .500 hitting percentage and notched six kills, the second-most in the match by a Terrier.
- Junior hitter Ally Speweik, senior outside hitter Lauren Montgomery, and junior outside hitter Vanja Miljacic each tallied five kills apiece in the contest.
- Freshman middle blocker Ashley Gonzalez hit .500 from the field as she totaled three kills on six attempts.
- Sophomore setter Angelee Ng dished out a team-high 21 assists and grabbed six digs for the Terriers.
- Sophomore libero Kizzy Rodriguez was one dig shy of tallying a double-digit dig match. The sophomore totaled nine digs over the course of three sets in Fairfield this evening.
