FULL MEET RESULTS
STATEN ISLAND, NY -- The track and field Terriers returned to action this past weekend, competing at the Spartan Invite in Ocean Breeze, Staten Island.
With one month away from Northeast Conference Indoor Championships, the Terriers received some standout showings from members of the roster.
The women finished fourth in the field, recording 52 points on the afternoon, beating out NEC-foe Bryant University in the process.
Aaliyah Williams recorded the lone victory for the Terrier women, placing first in the women's 500-meter race, taking home 10 points after finishing in 1:24.13. Teammate
Johnesse Suggs came in at 1:25.19, which was good for eight points and a second place finish.
Diondra Bryant also earned a second place spot for the Terriers after running a time of 3:24.24 in the women's 1000-meter race.
Naycha Boone came in third place in the women's 60-meter dash, completing the course in 8.05 seconds, collecting six points for the team.
The men tallied 58 points and were only four away from fourth place Lafayette College, who earned 62.
Ferguy Magnan won the men's 500-meter event with a time of 1:07.52, awarding the Terriers 10 points.
Matthew Nieves tacked on six more with a third place finish in the 800-meter dash and a time of 2:00.90. Additionally,
Jordan Moorer (13.32 meters) and
Kayshaw Saravia (12.88 meters) came in first and third, respectively, in the men's triple jump.
Daniel Pagan, who competed in the 60 and 200 meter runs, came away with two top-five placements.
Next, the Terriers will compete in the NYC Gotham Cup on Friday, January 19.
