BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, N.Y. - The St. Francis Brooklyn women's track and field team looked to divide and conquer on Easter weekend, taking split squads to the UConn Northeast Challenge and the Hofstra Invitational.
At both meets, Terriers scored top ten individual finishes in multiple events.
UConn Northeast Challenge (Storrs, CT)
Armani Dunkley scored the highest finish for SFBK in any event at the meet, taking ninth place in the high jump (1.60m). She would also take 10th place in the 200m dash (24.99).
Beyonce Blake (11.29m) finished 11th in the triple jump final.
Elsewhere on the track, Janee' Patterson was the Terriers lone finisher in the 400m hurdles final, taking 12th with a time of 1:07.73.
Hofstra Invitational (Hempstead, NY)
Out on Long Island, the Terriers competed against Hofstra in five races at the Pride's Invitational, placing top three finishes in all five races.
Jennessy Diaz (13.53 - 100m final) and Tolulope Atolagbe (1:04.94 - 400m final) each took first place finishes for St. Francis. Atolagbe rounded out the top three in the 100m final (14.38).
The Terriers were the only team to run to the 400m final, with Christina Rene (1:06.81) and Esther Richardson (1:07.68) finishing second and third, respectively.
Rene (27.36) and Shayla John (27.64) were the top Terriers in the 200m dash, taking second and third places, respectively.
Richardson (2:35.19) and Maria Grijalva (2:35.66) battled throughout the 800m run to a 2-3 finish.
In the 1 mile run, it was Carol Nieves taking on the field for SFBK. The junior managed a 6:13.05 pace for a comfortable second place finish.
