The Terriers (0-1) look to regroup on Sunday afternoon as they welcome the Bears of Morgan State University (1-5) at 4:00 p.m. from Matchpoint in Mill Basin. St. Francis opened their spring season against the Blackbirds of LIU Brooklyn at the USTA National Tennis Center, where they fell in disappointing fashion. The Bears opened their spring slate the previous Saturday, where they took down the Explorers of La Salle University in Baltimore.
ALL TIME SERIES:
St. Francis Brooklyn and the Bears of Morgan State have met once before on the campus of the opposition in March (5) of 2012. The Terriers were taken down by a score of 6 matches to a lone one. The Terriers were held off in all the rounds for the singles match. The closest score was the fifth singles, where Camille Petrizzo kept the match relatively close at 6-2, 6-3. The doubles competition was led by Ewa Opala and Arianna Van Sluytman.
LAST TIME OUT:
The Terriers fell in their spring opener against the Blackbirds of LIU Brooklyn at the National Tennis Center a week ago. The first singles led by Jean-Na Koo fell by a score of 6-3, 6-4 but kept it interesting. The doubles competition led by Shelia Centina and Sandra Siles-Polo were taken down against Bollweg and Brzozowska of LIU by a score of 6-2.
