The Terriers (2-8, 0-4) hit the road once again as they face the Mountaineers of Mount St. Mary's (MD) (0-11, 0-1) on Saturday afternoon for a 4 p.m. opening serve on the visiting campus's tennis courts. They also head north the following day to face another conference foe in the Red Flash from Saint Francis University (PA) (2-12, 1-0) on Sunday for a noon matinee. St. Francis Brooklyn has fallen in all spring matches, dating back to their opener against LIU Brooklyn in early February. The Mountaineers have not been victorious in all 11 of their matches this season, while the Red Flash are coming in falling in three straight matches. Most recently, against St. Bonaventure on Friday, March 15 in a 4-3 nail-biter.
ALL TIME SERIES:
St. Francis Brooklyn trails the overall series 0-2 against the Mountaineers of Mount St. Mary's (MD). The most recent outing occurred on March 28, 2015 where the Terriers were outlasted in seven straight matches. They were unable to obtain a point in their inaugural meeting between the two schools. The first outing was originally planned in 2012-13, but was forced to postpone due to inclement weather on match-day.
LAST TIME OUT:
The Terriers earned a lone point in a two-set tie-breaking nail-biter from freshman Sandra Siles-Polo. She would pull away from her opponent Aleksi Gottlieb in the second-set tiebreaker to come away with her team's lone victory of the morning. Sophomore Jean-Na Koo took the first set, before her opponent Ada Boro came away with the match in the final two sets.
