Women’s Swimming and Diving Opens NEC Championships Tuesday

Terriers take seventh in 800-yard freestyle relay

GENEVA, OH – St. Francis Brooklyn women's swimming and diving kicked off the Northeast Conference Championships Tuesday evening, completing the 800-yard freestyle in the first event of the meet. The Terriers took seventh out of nine teams. 

The quartet of Boel Bergquist, Raquel Torrez, Anapaula Gomez and Mariajose Lopez turned in a time of 7:43.62, finishing just ahead of Merrimack and just behind Saint Francis (PA). Wagner took the win with a time of 7:22.59, followed by Central Connecticut State (7:25.79) and LIU (7:36.83). 

Events 3-11 prelims and finals will take place tomorrow beginning at 10 a.m.
