Women's Swimmers Off To Record-Setting Start At NEC's; Gomes Angelo Takes Bronze In 500 Free

East Meadow, NY - - -The St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers are making waves at the 2018 Northeast Conference Swimming & Diving Championships, having set four school-records over the first two days.

Freshmen sensation Beatriz Gomes Angelo broke her own 500 Freestyle record with a time of 5:00.26 in prelims and established a new standard of 1:53.35 in the 200 Freestyle.  She took the bronze medal in the 500 Freestyle with a new record time of 4:58.29 on Thursday evening.

Gomes Angelo, Melanie Lumkong, Lara Milak and Rebeca Tapia broke the 800 Free relay mark with a time of 7:46.93.

Shannon Sokolow, Fanny Stromstedt, Raphaelle Gregoire, and Gomes Angelo established a new school mark in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:47.23.
