BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, N.Y. - The St. Francis Brooklyn women's swimming and diving teams returned to action on Saturday afternoon for the first home meet of 2022.
The Terriers kicked off the day with their Senior Day festivities before taking the pool against Wagner. The Seahawks would take the dual meet win, 169-70.
Mariajose Lopez continued her run as the team's top swimmer, winning a pair of the events for SFBK. She placed first in the 1000y freestyle (10:44.53) and 500y freestyle (5:15.77).
In a dual meet best for Cassandra Zenon, the senior took second in the 100y freestyle (1:00.89).
Kristy Nagtzaam helped the cause with a pair of second place finishes; taking silver in the 50y freestyle (25.50) and 100y breaststroke (1:09.05).
A late charge earned
Jenna Pearse a second place finish in the 200y freestyle (2:00.98).
