BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY – The St. Francis College Brooklyn women's soccer team has unveiled its 2021 Spring schedule this afternoon. The announcement comes after the Northeast Conference (NEC) released its Fall-to-Spring, Winter, and Spring sport regular season and Championship formats earlier in the day.
The Terriers will compete in an eight-match conference schedule to be contested in a single round-robin format over six weeks (March 2 - April 13). Matches will be played on Tuesday and Friday. The NEC Championship match will see the No. 1 seed host the No. 2 seed the weekend of April 16-18.
The second-year Terrier program, will kick off its sophomore season with a road trip to face the Warriors of Merrimack for a battle on the opponent's pitch on Tuesday, March 2. St. Francis is slated to play its home opener on Tuesday, March 9, as it welcomes the Blue Devils of Central Connecticut State to Brooklyn.
Crossing the Hudson River and facing the college's fiercest rival, the Terriers look to embrace the challenge of visiting Teaneck, NJ, and the Knights of Fairleigh Dickinson on Tuesday, March 16.
The Terriers return home for its rivalry with the Sharks of LIU on Tuesday, March 23. Following their second home game, St. Francis embarks on its longest road trip of the season, beginning on Tuesday, March 30, in Smithfield, RI, against Bryant. The Terriers wraps up the two-game road sprint on Staten Island on Friday, April 2, for a visit with Wagner.
St. Francis concludes its regular season on its home turf against the Mountaineers of Mount St. Mary's on Tuesday, April 6, followed by the regular season finale against Sacred Heart on Tuesday, April 13.
Due to current New York State guidelines in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic fans are not permitted to attend St. Francis Brooklyn home events until further notice.
