TEANECK, NJ– The St. Francis College Brooklyn women's soccer team (1-2, 1-2) fell to the Knights of Fairleigh Dickinson University by a score of 4-2 inside University Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Following the home teams' third goal, the Terriers responded with a cross from sophomore defender
Oormi Sivapatham, and found sophomore midfielder
McKayla Palhof for the wide-open shot in the lower left corner, past the diving Marcoux, to get St. Francis Brooklyn on the board.
On a free kick following a foul on Fairleigh Dickinson, sophomore defender
Isabelle Gollette, just outside of the box, sent a kick which swerved just to the left of the opposing keeper and nudged the cross bar to send home the teams' second goal of the game.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Sophomore midfielder McKayla Palhof tallied her first goal of the 2021 campaign in the 34th minute of play off a pass from Oormi Sivapatham. Palhof recorded 29 minutes on the pitch.
- Sophomore defender Isabelle Gollette registered a booming shot off the cross bar off a free-kick in the 75th minute of play, past the Knights' Marcoux. Gollette totaled a pair of shots on net, and logged 74 minutes on the playing surface.
- Sophomore defender Oormi Sivapatham registered 37 minutes off the bench, and added an assist to Palhof's first career goal.
- Junior midfielder Barbara Zagonyi added a pair of shots, with one on net in 72 minutes on the pitch.
- Sophomore midfielder Margaret Motolese tallied three shots, with one on net in 72 minutes of playing time.
- Sophomore forward Maya Madjercic logged 55 minutes on the pitch and contributed one shot.
