BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY– The St. Francis College Brooklyn women's soccer team (1-3, 1-3) fell to the Sharks of Long Island University (3-0, 3-0) by a score of one nil on Tuesday afternoon from Pier 5 at Brooklyn Bridge Park.
Following its pair of goals against Fairleigh Dickinson, St. Francis Brooklyn returned home to welcome their cross-town rival, LIU to their pitch.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Sophomore forward Sarah DeWitt tallied a pair of shots in 90 minutes on the pitch.
- Junior midfielder Barbara Zagonyi added four shots, with one appearing on net in 80 minutes on the playing surface.
- Sophomore forward Yawara MacNeill recorded 33 minutes on the pitch, and shot one just wide right of the net.
- Sophomore midfielder Breanna Gleissner registered a lone shot in 10 minutes off the bench.
- Sophomore defender Brianna Van Giesen tallied one shot in a full 90 minutes on the pitch.
