Terriers Fall in Hard Fought Battle vs. Merrimack

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY– The St. Francis College Brooklyn women's soccer team (0-12-0, 0-5-0) narrowly fell to the Warriors of Merrimack College (3-9-0, 1-4-0) by a score of one nil on Friday afternoon at Pier 5 from Brooklyn Bridge Park.
 
The Terriers earned three corner kicks compared to a pair for the Warriors. St. Francis College also recorded a pair of free-kicks from defender Isabelle Gollette that would be narrowly saved by opposing goalkeeper Megan Langlois in the second half of play. Seven Terriers logged a full 90 minutes of action on the afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Freshman defender Isabelle Gollette registered one shot on goal in 90 minutes of action.
  • Sophomore forward Sarah DeWitt tallied three shots with one coming on net in 90 minutes of game-play.
  • Freshman midfielder Henriette Lykke recorded a pair of shots with one shot on goal in 80 minutes of game-time.
  • Junior goalkeeper Klil Keshwar logged six saves in 90 minutes of game-play.
  • Freshman forward Yawara MacNeill notched one shot in 90 minutes of game-action.
 
UP NEXT:
The Terriers return to the pitch on Sunday, October 13, when they visit Emmittsburg, Maryland and the Mountaineers of Mount St. Mary's. The opening kick is scheduled to take place for 2 p.m. from Waldron Family Stadium.
