Women’s Soccer Inaugural Roster Continues to Grow with Three New Additions

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY – St. Francis Brooklyn women's soccer head coach Justine Lombardi announced the additions of Oormi Sivapatham, Izzy Gollette, and Catherine Hayes to the Terriers inaugural roster.

"We are thrilled to announce the addition of three more fantastic players to the roster. Oormi is an outstanding student with an amazing work ethic and attitude as well as a solid defender who is eager to learn and grow as a player and will be a very positive contributor to the team. Izzy fits in perfectly here. She is exactly what we were looking for both on and off the field. Her speed and ability to get up and down the wing is something teams will want to look out for next season. Cat is a very smart and well-rounded player, but her experience as an upperclassman and a National Champion will be invaluable to us next fall," said Lombardi on her latest additions to the Terriers' 2019 roster.

Sivapatham is a native of Staten Island, NY and attends Notre Dame Academy where she was a four-year varsity player and two-year team captain on the girls' soccer team. The defender guided her high school team to two Archdiocesan Championships and two Island Championships. She also led the varsity squad to a pair of State Finals and was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the New York City All-Star Mayor's Cup Game.

She garnered the GCHSAA All-League award and was named to the All-League Team. Over the course of her junior and senior seasons, she led the Notre Dame Academy defense to 11 combined shutouts. Sivapatham plays club soccer for Manhattan Soccer Club Pride 01 NPL and has played for ENY ODP. Her team was a New York Cup finalist for three years.

Gollette is a defender from Whittier, CA and played soccer at La Mirada high school. While at La Mirada, she won a State and CIF Championship in 2016 and was a CIF finalist in 2017. She currently plays club for Beach DA and played Academy for two years following her time at La Mirada. She made the ODP Pool in 2014 and 2017. Before her time with Beach DA, she played for the Fullerton Rangers and placed third in the National League. Gollette and the Fullerton Rangers claimed numerous SoCal Tournament titles.

Hayes joins the Terriers after spending two years at Monroe College in New Rochelle, NY where she was a member of the 2018 NJCAA Women's Soccer National Championship team. The midfielder from Cutchogue, NY also won a Regional Championship and District Championship this past season with the Mustangs. Over two seasons at Monroe, she appeared in 27 games and made four starts. She attempted 15 shots, 10 of which were on goal as the Mustangs went 23-5-1 over her two years.

Before Monroe, Hayes was a two-year captain of the Mattituck high school girls' soccer team. In 2016, she was an All-State nominee, earned All-County, All-Conference, and All-League honors. The season prior, she received All-County, All-Conference, and All-League recognition. From 2013-16 she participated in the ENY Olympic Development Program, ODP Regional camps and Tournament play.

The Terriers are set to begin competition in the fall of 2019 and will join the Northeast Conference (NEC) as its 10th member in the sport of women's soccer.
