ORLANDO, FL - The St. Francis Brooklyn women's bowling team is in Orlando, Florida this weekend, competing in the Wildcat Classic, hosted by Bethune-Cookman University. On Friday, day one of the tournament, the competition consisted of five rounds of five-game Baker format matches. Due to the odd number of teams in the event, the Terriers drew a bye in the final round of the day, bowling unopposed for score only.

The tournament began for the Terriers against a tough Ladyjacks squad, who eclipsed the 200 mark in the first and last games for the win. The highlight for St. Francis was a 207 in game number two. Junior
Lexis Ortiz filled nine of her ten frames for St. Francis.
Florida A&M University 870, St. Francis Brooklyn 770
The Rattlers outscored the Terriers by 100 pins as the conditions kept the scores down on both sides.
Tulane University 919, St. Francis Brooklyn 872
Behind scores of 205 and 206 (clean game) in the second and third games, St. Francis gained a 32-pin lead over the Green Wave, before Tulane struck back with a 211 in game four to come back and knot the match, before pulling away in game five. Senior

St. Francis increased its score in each successive game to post an easy victory over the Wildcats after falling behind by nine pins in game one. Waglione filled all ten of her frames, and sophomore
Heather Waters filled nine of ten.
St. Francis Brooklyn 856
The Terriers capped the afternoon with a 192 in game five en route to an 856 score which will count toward the team pinfall totals on the standing sheet. Waters filled nine of ten frames during the match.
