Women’s Hoops Closes Out Vinewood Farm Classic with Comeback Victory over Morehead State

MOREHEAD, KY – The St. Francis Brooklyn women's basketball team (4-1) concluded the Vinewood Farm Classic with a 101-94 come-from-behind victory over Morehead State (4-1). The Eagles entered the contest undefeated before the Terriers served up their first defeat of the 2018-19 season on their home floor.

For the third time throughout the first five games of the season, the Terriers have exploded for over 100 points in a game. They went over the century mark in the first game of the Vinewood Farm Classic against Chicago State when they scored a program record 110 points. Today, they poured in 101 points on 55.7 percent shooting from the field and 65.0 percent shooting from three. Before this season, the Terriers never eclipsed the 100-point mark in a single-game, through five games in 2018-19 they've done it three times.

The Terriers were nearly unstoppable in the second half of play. St. Francis Brooklyn scored 62 points, shot a blistering 74.1 percent from the field (20-of-27), 87.5 percent from three (7-of-8), and 88.2 percent from the free-throw line (15-of-17). The Terriers' hot shooting allowed them to chip away at the Eagles lead and ultimately led them to their fourth victory of the season.
