Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Terriers Fall to Bryant on Monday Evening

SMITHFIELD, RI– The St. Francis College Brooklyn women's basketball team (6-17, 2-10) fell to the Bulldogs of Bryant University (7-15, 5-6) by a score of 67-62 from the Chace Athletic Center on Monday evening.

Trading a pair of shots that were both unsuccessful, the first basket would come off a left-handed lay-up from junior forward Ally Lassen three minutes into the contest. Four straight points off the finger-tips of freshman guard Nevena Dimitrijevic. A 7-0 run would commence from Mary Burke's Bulldogs to give Bryant a four-point lead into the second stanza, and wouldn't look back.

Ensuring that a comeback could be obtained were a trio of Terriers in Jordan, junior forward Abby Anderson, and the aforementioned Dimitrijevic. The Serbian native would tie the game at 25 off a three-pointer made from distance on the wing, before Bryant's Gallagher would do the same on the other end to force a timeout. Tying the game at 31, would be Anderson who made a lay-up before preseason All-NEC selection, Sydney Holloway tallied her 10th point in the low post to give her squad a three-point lead heading into the locker room.

Earning double-digit points in the third stanza, Dimitrijevic would tally 10 points in as many minutes, when she would string off six consecutive points in the frame, and narrow the opposition's team lead down to just seven. The Serbian native would record 25 points, and match her career high.

The final frame would show Dimitrijevic register the teams' three only field-goals by adding six more points, and adding to her new career-high with 31 on the night. Anderson would tally three-points off three conversions from the free-throw line. The Terriers converted 22-of-56 from the field, and added 13-of-20 from the charity stripe.
