Terriers Downed by Boston College on Sunday

CHESTNUT HILL, MA– The St. Francis College Brooklyn women's basketball team (0-3) fell to the Eagles of Boston College (2-0) this afternoon from the Conte Forum on the college's campus.
 
Head Coach Linda Cimino returned to her home region in New England for the second-time as Terrier head coach, where she now sports a 1-1 record in the respective category. The first quarter entailed the first pair of buckets coming off the hands of junior forward Ally Lassen, as she would drive inside and go one-on-one with Boston College's Bolden-Morris.
 
The road team were able to string together a pair of 7-0 runs in the first and fourth quarter, that pulled the Terriers within 15 or less on each of the respective scoring drive. During the second quarter, the Terriers put together their best stanza of the contest as they converted 10 of 19 shots from the field to obtain a 26-point quarter.
 
The Terriers converted 25-of-69 shots from the field (36.2%). From beyond the arc, St. Francis College converted seven out of a possible 20. From the charity stripe, the Terriers added 12 points out of a possible 17.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Senior guard Jade Johnson registered a team high 17 points on the afternoon. The Adelaide, Australia native converted five-of-20 shots from the field in 38 minutes of game-action.
  • Freshman forward Jenna Jordan would score six points, grab a pair of rebounds and convert three-of-five from the field in 18 minutes on the floor.
  • Junior forward Ally Lassen tallied 15 points, while adding six rebounds. The New Jersian converted five-of-six attempted from the charity stripe in 33 minutes on the hardwood.
  • Freshman guard Alyssa Fisher recorded 12 points, one assist, and three rebounds. She would shoot 30% from the field, converting three-of-10. The Baton Rouge native also etched four points out of a possible five from the free-throw line in 28 minutes.
  • Junior forward Abby Anderson recorded 26 minutes of action, where she registered five-of-eight from the field to equate 10 points. The third-year forward added a pair of assists, and grabbed four rebounds.
