BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, N.Y. - The St. Francis women's basketball team opened its home slate for the 2021-22 season on Thursday night against the University of Pennsylvania, the first home game with fans at the Pope Physical Education Center since Mar. 3, 2020.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Terriers and the Quakers traded shots through the first five minutes of the first quarter. Horvath opened her account for the evening with a three pointer off an assist from Isabella Posset, one of three for the St. Francis newcomer. It would Horvath again tieing the game early, 5-5, when she crashed the boards and put back a missed three pointer by Nevena Dimitrijevic.

Lee would finish out her first home game with 12 points, 8 rebounds, and one block in 36 minutes of play.

The Quakers closed out the first quarter leading 14-10. St. Francis would come out shooting in the second quarter, as Horvath fought through traffic inside the arc to get open on the wing, draining a three to make it a 16-15 Quakers lead.
