PREVIEW: Women's Basketball Set to Open NEC Play Thursday vs. Saint Francis (PA)

The Terriers look for their second straight win over the Red Flash.

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, N.Y. - After a 15 day hiatus, the Terriers women's basketball team finally return to action tomorrow as they travel to Loretto, P.A. to take on conference foes Saint Francis University for its first Northeast Conference game of the season.

LAST TIME OUT

Monmouth 76 | St. Francis Brooklyn 63 - The Terriers come into Thursday's game with a record of 4-6, and look to secure their first conference win of the season. In SFBK's last time out at home they closed out their non-conference schedule with a 13 point loss to Monmouth. After a slow start, the women closed the 1st half strong on a 15-2 run, but were unable to carry the momentum into the 2nd half. Three SFC players reached double figures, and Ally Lassen was the Terrier's leading scorer with 17 points. Point Guard Nevena Dimitrijevic pulled the strings for the Terriers, tallying 9 assists on the night.

FDU 65 | Saint Francis (PA) 47 - Saint Francis (PA) comes into Thursday's game without a win in 13 tries this season. Their last game was on New Year's Eve, when they suffered a 47-65 defeat at the hands of Fairleigh Dickinson. The Terriers will have to focus on containing Saint Francis PA's leading scorer Jenna Mastellone, who netted a career high 23 points on 8-of-16 shooting in the loss.

Despite their form this season, the Red Flash have proven to be a difficult opponent for St. Francis Brooklyn in recent years, with just one win against their conference rivals in the last 5 meetings. However, the most recent of those contests should be cause for optimism, a 63-55 win at home last February.

Tip-off is scheduled for at 7:00 p.m. at the DeGol Arena in Loretto, P.A., and the game can be streamed on NEC Front Row.
