BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, N.Y. - The Northeast Conference named St. Francis Brooklyn Terrier William Lindqvist Nilsson as the men's tennis player of the week on Tuesday.
The grad student from Sweden played a big role in the Terrier's wins over FDU and Hofstra.
In the week's first match against FDU, Lindqvist Nilsson played #1 singles and prevailed in straight sets over Justas Trainauskas. He also grabbed a 6-1 victory at #1 doubles alongside Jan Godfrey Seno.
In the second match of the week the Swede played #1 singles again and won in three sets.
Lindqvist Nilsson will look to continue his good form when the Terriers host Saint Francis (PA) on Friday.
