BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY– The St. Francis College Brooklyn men's volleyball team (1-3) fell to the Wildcats of Daemen College (10-0) by a score of three sets to one inside the Genovesi Center on Saturday afternoon. The Terriers concluded its 2020 home schedule.
St. Francis Brooklyn was primed to begin the contest on a solid note following the Friday evening fall. The Terriers and Wildcats each traded points throughout the opening set. At 24-23 in favor of Daemen, head coach
Niko Lambert took a timeout. Following the timeout, the Wildcats' Parker tallied a service error to tie the game at 24. The Terriers took advantage of the error, with a follow-up kill from sophomore
James Henneberry off the set from
Aramis Rodriguez. The set concluded with a pair of Daemen attacking errors to take the first set.
The Terriers battled throughout the second set, where both programs continued exchanging points. A pair of kills by the Wildcats' Patzer allowed Daemen to split the set total at one with a 25-23 victory.

- Sophomore opposite hitter David Vorfi led the squad with 17 kills in 41 total attacking attempts. Vorfi also started in all four sets, while adding a pair of aces, and a blocking assist.
- Freshman outside hitter Aramis Rodriguez led the team with 12 digs, added eight kills in 21 attacking attempts, and registered 8.5 points in the match. The Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico native started all four sets as well.
- Sophomore middle-blocker James Henneberry added seven kills in 10 attacking attempts, one dig, and one blocking assist in four full sets competed in.
- Sophomore outside hitter Johnny Ferraro contributed two digs, added 5.5 points to the score-sheet, added one blocking assist, and killed five in three sets played.
UP NEXT: St. Francis Brooklyn concludes its spring campaign on Tuesday, April 6, when the Terriers visit Northeast Conference (NEC) foe, Sacred Heart Pioneers for a doubleheader.
