Terriers Compete at 2019 NEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships

NEW BRITAIN, CT – The St. Francis Brooklyn track & field program wrapped up competition at the 2019 Northeast Conference (NEC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Sunday. The Terriers' women's team finished in ninth-place, while the men's squad recorded a 10^th-place finish.
 
WOMEN'S RESULTS:

• Janaya Lewis earned an eighth-place finish in the 100 meters with a final time of 12.63. She qualified for the final by clocking a time of 12.33 in the prelims on Saturday.
• The 4x100 meters relay team of Zhoey Starkey, Lewis, Tianna Cates, and Brianna Browne placed sixth with a time of 49.13.
• The 4x800 meters relay team of Diondra Bryant, Tyiera Newland, Perla Rodriguez, and Taylor Wilson finished in ninth with a time of 10:35.49.   

MEN'S RESULTS:

• Paul Clarke notched a seventh-place finish in the 100 meters as he clocked a final time of 10.98. He qualified for the final the day prior by running a 10.85 in the event and earned a spot in the IC4As. Clarke ran the 200 meters in 21.85 and earned a berth in the IC4As in the event as well.
• Feguy Mangnan recorded the Terriers' best finish of the championship in the 200 meters. He ran the 200 final in 22.02 and finished in fourth-place. On Saturday, he registered a time of 21.38 in the prelims and qualified for the IC4As in the 200. Mangnan earned the Terriers points in the 400 meters as he placed seventh with a time of 1:04.56. He clocked a time of 48.89 in the 400 prelims and qualified for IC4As.
• Terell Howard came in eighth-place in the 800 meters final with a time of 1:59.79.
• The Terriers 4x100 meters relay team of Clarke, Mangnan, Howard, and Timothy Epps placed seventh with a time of 42.52.
• The 4x400 meters relay team comprised of Clarke, Howard, Michael Baker, and Epps came in eighth as they clocked a collective time of 3:25.25.
• The 4x800 meters relay squad of Frank Morganti, Howard, Baker, and Jason Cousineau came in eight-place with a time of 8:46.76.
