PHILADELPHIA, Penn. - The St. Francis Brooklyn men's and women's track and field programs will be well represented at the 2022 Penn Relays, set to be held Apr. 29-30 at historic Franklin Field at the University of Pennsylvania.
17 Terriers are set to compete in seven different events over two days. This is the first time the teams have competed at the prestigious event since 2019.
Collegiate competition at the event begins Friday, when all but one of the Terriers will compete.
SFBK's day on Thursday begins at 1:20 p.m. when the men's 4x100m relay team (Brian Strachn, Makhi Theosmy, Jamore Smart, Jordan Moorer) compete in the Eastern heats. Strachn is lone Terrier with experience competing for St. Francis at the event.
Damilare Oyetibo will compete in the Men's College Discus Throw at 3:00 p.m.
Continuing with the field events, Kayshaw Saravia will step in to the jumps pit at 4:30 for the Men's College Triple Jump.
The Terriers round out the day with three relays. At 5:45 p.m., the Terriers' sprint medley team will run the College Men's heats. The women's 4x400 relay team returns to the Penn Relays as one of two events that represented St. Francis in 2019. Janee' Patterson, Christina Rene, Armani Dunkley, and Beyonce Blake will take the track in the College Women's Relay at 6:10 p.m.
Rounding out the day, the men's 4x400 relay team (Strachn, Terell Howard, Daniel Hernandez, Theosmy) will run in the College Men's heats at 6:45 p.m.
Malachi Aiken will compete in the Terriers final event of the weekend on Saturday, when he takes part in the College Men's Triple Jump Championship at 2:30 p.m.
