NORTH ANDOVER, MA – St. Francis Brooklyn men's and women's track and field completed action at the 2023 Northeast Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday. The Terriers had several student-athletes reach the finals and ended with seven medalists, including two second-place results. The men's side took eighth and the women's side finished ninth in the team score.

Janee' Patterson continued her strong season, grabbing second in the 400-meter hurdles. She moved up two spots from her preliminary race (finished fourth on Saturday), qualifying for ECAC Championships with a time of 1:02.48.

Teammate Tolulope Atolagbe also received a silver medal in the triple jump as she was one of two athletes to eclipse the 12-meter mark. Her leap of 12.03 meters fell short of Madeline Murphy of SFU, who set a new meet record (12.69 meters).

On the men's side, Malachi Aiken backed up his bronze in the long jump on Saturday with another bronze in the triple jump on Sunday. Aiken's mark of 14.96 meters was reached on his second attempt. Two FDU athletes finished 1-2 in the competition.

Renaldo-Alleyne Noreiga took third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.62. Despite finishing .02 seconds behind his prelim time, he jumped up a spot to reach the podium.

Two relay teams climbed their way to the top as the 4x100 and 4x400 squads took silver and bronze respectively. Jordan Jackson, Shevon Walker, Noreiga and Makhi Theosmy teamed up for a time of 41.61 in the 4x100, stretching out to beat Merrimack's time of 41.73. In the final event of the meet, Aiken, Parker Myers, KyMoy Phillip and Theosmy completed the 4x400 in 3:18.54.

Other placers on Sunday include Viola Alisch (5th in the 3000-meter steeplechase), Armani Dunkley (8th in the high jump), Christina Rene (6th in the 400-meter), Theosmy (4th in the 400- meter), Kimoria Chance (8th in the 100-meter), Walker (8th in the 100-meter) and Myers (4th in the 400 hurdles).
