BROOKLYN, NY – Malachi Aiken and Jenee' Patterson of the St. Francis Brooklyn men's and women's track and field team were named Northeast Conference Prime Performers, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.
Aiken had another stellar meet at Towson, taking first in two events. The sophomore from Brooklyn won the long jump on day one with an effort of 7.51 meters. The result was a school record. He followed that up with a win in the triple jump. His distance of 14.98 meters was a personal best.
Patterson took second in the 400-meter hurdles at Towson. Her time of 1:02.22 was a school record, and she was less than a second from the winning mark.
The duo will continue competition this week at the Metropolitan Championships on Friday and Saturday.
