BROOLKYN, NY – St. Francis Brooklyn men's tennis has officially been selected to the NCAA tournament and will remain in the New York City area to face No. 13 seeded Columbia in the opening round on Friday. The Terriers play the tournament host Lions at noon at the Billie Jeane King Tennis Center in Queens.
Among those competing in the same region are St. John's and Stanford.
The Lions are 19-3 on the season and defeated #40 Cornell 6-1 to take the Ivy League Championship. They have notable victories over No. 12 Northwestern, No. 14 Harvard and No. 32 UCLA.
Coming off their first Northeast Conference title in program history, St. Francis Brooklyn won nine of its last 10 matches heading into Friday's contest.
