The Terriers (1-4, 0-1) head to Connecticut to face the Pioneers of Sacred Heart University (2-7, 0-0) on Monday morning at the Tennis Club of Trumbull. St. Francis Brooklyn took down the Leopards of Lafayette University on Sunday afternoon by a score of five matches and were only taken down in two of nine. The Pioneers were taken down against Quinnipiac at Yale on Saturday when they suffered defeat in five matches, and only won a pair.
ALL TIME SERIES:
St. Francis Brooklyn trails 0-11 against the Pioneers since 2005-06. This will be the first match against each other since the 2016-17 season, where they met and were taken down in five matches, and were victorious in a pair.
LAST TIME OUT:
The Terriers got off to a fast start against Lafayette with two out of the three doubles taking home victory as senior Spaniard
Pablo Blasco-Torres and
Stefan Gmijovic took out their opposition Daniel Kramer and John Yurconic by a score of 7-5. In two of the three singles matches, each team split victories 1-1.
Daniel Blasco took the third singles match in three sets, while Artiz could not overcome a tough second and third set to fall in this match.
