Box Score EMMITSBURG, MD – The St. Francis Brooklyn men's tennis team (1-9, 0-5) fell to the Mountaineers of Mount St. Mary's (MD) (2-12, 1-1) on Saturday afternoon on the campus of the opposing university. The Terriers' original contest against Morgan State in Baltimore, was cancelled due to inclement weather earlier in the day. The Terriers also were unable to shave off a four-match skid that now extends to five. The Mount, broke a nine-match losing streak that saw their second victory of the season occur.
The Terriers were scheduled to have a morning match in Baltimore the following morning after the Bryant contest in Brooklyn. St. Francis was granted with extra rest as their match was forced to be cancelled due to weather not cooperating in their favor.
Tomas Dirube took the first set during his match, but was unable to seal the deal as he fell in the second set. He was unable to hold serve, as he was broken once to determine the fate of his match. Freshman
Facundo Couso paired with the aforementioned Dirube to take down their opponent as the third doubles pairing.
