Terriers Fall at Home to Saint Peter’s on Saturday

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY – The St. Francis Brooklyn men's soccer team (3-6) fell to Saint Peter's (3-4-1), 4-1, at Brooklyn Bridge Park on Saturday afternoon. The Peacocks were paced by three second half goals in the win.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Saint Peter's scored the game's first goal in the 32nd minute. Dominic Laws found the back of the net for the first of what would be a two-goal day. The Peacocks went on to score three goals within the first 20 minutes of the second half.
  • Senior forward Ali Tounkara tallied his second goal in as many games in the 65th minute for the Terriers. Junior midfielder Julien Remiti assisted Tounkara on the score. The assist was Remiti's first of the season. Remiti found Tounkara in the open field; Tounkara took the ball in on a breakaway and beat the Peacocks' goalkeeper from 10 yards out.
  • The Terriers outshot Saint Peter's, 16-9. The Peacocks recorded six shots on goal to the Terriers' three. Tounkara registered all three shots on goal for the Terriers. Freshman forward Thriston Briscoe and junior defender Marco Torriani each attempted three shots.
  • St. Francis Brooklyn is now (7-5-2) all-time against Saint Peter's.
