McLachlan Named NEC Prime Performer After Fifth Shutout

SOMERSET, NJ - St. Francis Brooklyn's Alec McLachlan was announced by the Northeast Conference (NEC) as a Prime Performer for Week Ten of the season on Monday.

The recognition comes after the freshman goalkeeper's fifth shutout of the season on Sunday.

McLachlan and the Terriers kept Fairleigh Dickinson (FDU) off the scoresheet Sunday afternoon in a 0-0 draw in the team's seventh shutout during this campaign. The Stockport, England native made two saves in the draw.

In nine appearances this season, McLachlan has registered an average of 0.67 goals against and a .833 save percentage. His goals against average (GAA) ranks 15th among all NCAA Division I goalies and tied for first among rookie goalies, while his save percentage places him tenth in the nation among DI goalies and second among rookies in that group.

This is the second time this season McLachlan has been named NEC Prime Performer, dating back to Week Five.
