Philadelphia, Pa. – The St. Francis Brooklyn men's soccer team fell to the La Salle Explores, 1-0, Monday evening at McCarthy Stadium. The Terriers moved to 0-1-1, while the Explores improved to 1-1.
How it Happened
- The Terriers outshot the Explores 3-2 in the first half.
- SFBK generated two chances in the fifth minute. Fifth year Ivan Tapuskovic and junior Johan Grande-Rojas had two shots miss the net.
- The match was scoreless at the end of the first half.
- Tapuskovic, who led the team with three shots, fired a shot wide in the 47th minute.
- La Salle scored in the 74th minute on a goal from Nigel Buckley.
- In the 77th minute, SFBK had a chance to tie the match, but senior Sokol Ymeraj's shot was stopped.
- Sophomore David Santiago made six saves.
