SOMERSET, NJ - After an unprecedented scoring performance against Central Connecticut State on Sunday afternoon, St. Francis Brooklyn's Khaled Abdella was named a Northeast Conference (NEC) Prime Performer on Monday.
This is the second time this season Abdella has received the award. The Brooklyn native scored his first two penalty kicks of his career on Sunday, both coming in a span of 44 seconds. The two trips to the penalty spot were the first of his career, and the first time this season the Terriers have gone to the spot twice in one game.
Adbella would later link up with Sokol Ymeraj to give the Terriers a 3-1 lead. He currently leads the Terriers this season with seven goals and three assists.
St. Francis closes out the regular season Thursday, Nov. 3 at 1:00 p.m. as LIU comes to Brooklyn. Admission is free for the match at Pier Five in Brooklyn Bridge Park.
