NIAGARA FALLS, NY – The St. Francis Brooklyn men's basketball team (3-3) put together a tremendous team effort en route to a 75-63 victory over Niagara (2-3) in the final game of the Fort Myers Tip-Off. Graduate guard
Glenn Sanabria became the 32
nd member of the Terriers' 1,000 Point Club as he scored 18 points in the win.
After a tight first half of play in which the Terriers took a 31-30 lead into halftime, they used a strong second half to propel them to victory. St. Francis Brooklyn outscored Niagara, 44-33, in the second half and were paced by sophomore guard
Chauncey Hawkins who scored 20 of his 22 points in the frame.
The Terriers limited the Purple Eagles to 29.6 percent shooting from the field and 25.0 percent shooting from behind the arc in the second half. At one point of the second half, St. Francis Brooklyn went on a 16-3 run over a 4:03 span. That run put the Terriers out in front for good in the contest.
St. Francis Brooklyn picks up its third win of the season, all three wins have come by 12 or more points. It was the third time this season that the Terriers scored 70 or more points in a game, resulting in three wins.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Sanabria scored a season-high 18 points on 7-of-19 shooting from the field and knocked down four threes. At the 3:56 mark in the first half, Sanabria drilled a three-pointer which put him over the 1,000-career point plateau. He became the 32nd Terrier to score over 1,000 points in a career, and the first since former teammate Brent Jones did so on February 5, 2015, against Central Connecticut. Sanabria dished out a season-high six assists and pulled down four rebounds in 38 minutes of action.
- Hawkins was electric off the bench for the Terriers in the second half. After only scoring two points in the first half of play, the guard went off for 20 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field and shot a perfect 3-of-3 from three-point range. Hawkins was precise at the free-throw line as he shot 7-of-8. It was the third time this season that Hawkins scored 14 or more points in the second half of play. He scored 15 points in the second half against Boston College and 14 against Lafayette. The 20 points were the most that he has ever scored in a single half in his career.
- Sophomore guard Jalen Jordan added 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting and converted 4-of-7 from deep. Jordan has scored in double figures in every game this season.
- Senior guard Keon Williams provided a spark once again for the Terriers off the bench. The savvy veteran scored seven points, grabbed nine rebounds, dished out two assists, and swiped two steals. Williams played a vital role for the Terriers on the defensive end of the floor. After hitting a three, Williams got back on defense and swiped a steal at the 6:38 mark. He took the ball on the fastbreak and threw down an emphatic dunk with his right hand. Williams was named to the Fort Myers Tip-Off All-Tournament Team for his efforts over Thanksgiving weekend.
- Junior forward Christian Rohlehr played a season-high 24 minutes and once again gave the Terriers solid play in the frontcourt. The junior scored three points, grabbed nine rebounds (four offensive), and blocked three shots. It was the third time this season that he blocked three shots in a game.
- As a team, the Terriers shot 40.0 percent from the field and 46.4 percent from three. They knocked down 13 threes, which were a season-high. In the second half, they shot 45.2 percent from the field and went 50.0 percent (7-of-14) from three.
