• St. Francis Brooklyn has qualified for the NEC Tournament in seven of the eight years with Glenn Braica as head coach. The Terriers missed out on the proceedings last year.

• SFBK has competed in the league championship game in 2001 (losing to Monmouth, 67-64), 2003 (losing to Wagner, 78-61) and 2015 (losing to Robert Morris, 66-63).

• SFBK exceeded expectations and then some after being picked tenth by coaches in the NEC preseason poll.

• The Terriers had lost eight consecutive NEC quarterfinal contests and nine straight overall in the postseason prior to winning twice to advance to the 2015 NEC title game. The victories broke a 12-year winless drought in March.

• The Terriers reached the NEC semifinals five straight seasons from 1999-03.

•  SFBK twice earned the top seed in the NEC Tournament in 2001 and 2015.

• From 1991-2005, SFBK qualified for 15 straight NEC Tournaments.

• The Terriers have split four games with LIU Brooklyn in the playoffs. Most recently, SFBK downed LIU in the 2015 quarters to begin its march to the title game.

• St. Francis Brooklyn is 12-28 all-time in the NEC Tournament.

• SFBK is the lone NEC charter member that has yet to win a tournament title. The Terriers have played the most games in NEC Tournament history (40) without winning a championship.  SFBK is also one of five schools that have never made the NCAA Tournament since the modern reclassification of the Division in 1948.

8 Is The Magic Number
The Terriers give themselves a much better chance for a victory when they hit eight 3s in a contest.  SFBK is 12-7 when they reach that target but are just 1-10 when they are off the mark.

Hooray For Thursdays!
SFBK is 7-2 on Thursdays this season.  The two losses were at RMU and LIU Brooklyn. The Terriers are just 3-10 on Saturdays.

Rebounding is The Key
The Terriers are 8-2 when they win the battle of the boards and are 2-0 when they are even.  They are just 3-15 when the opponent grabs more caroms.

Home Sweet Home
The Terriers are 10-3 at the Pope this season and have gone 7-2 in NEC contests on their home floor.  SFBK is averaging 78.7 ppg. in their home building

Olafsson Back In The Mix
It's been a frustrating senior senion for Gunnar Olafsson but the Icelander has become a key figure of late.  The small forward missed 10 games due to a back and hand injury but is averaging 15 minutes per game over the last five contests.  He made his first start of the season against SFU on February 10th. He nearly went for a double-double in the win at Bryant, going for 9 points and a career-high 8 boards.

Getting the Job "Dunn"
2017-18 NEC Second Team seletion Rasheem Dunn went over the 800 point mark for his career in the home win against FDU and now has 845 points. The sophomore has scored 20 or more points 11 times this season, including four straight contests. He is 10th in the league in scoring at 15.6 ppg and is 13th in rebounding (5.8 rpg.)

Sanabria Bounces Back
2016-17 was a tough season for junior Glenn Sanabria (903 career points) as he shot just 33 percent from the floor after recovering from shoulder surgery the year before.  The junior has turned it around this season and is currently at 45 percent shooting, while hitting 42 percent of his long-distance tries.  He is 2nd in the NEC in long-range accuracy in NEC contests (47 percent) and has an NEC-best 2.87 assist/turnover ratio in all games.

J.J. From Jay Street
Freshman Jalen Jordan, an NEC All-Rookie Selection, owns one of the purest shooting strokes in the conference and has been a huge key to the Terriers turnaround this season.  The Conyers, Georgia native, who was born in New York City, is averaging 11.3 ppg. and is shooting 41 percent from behind the arc (63-of-152).  He is the 4th leading frosh scorer in the NEC.  Jordan is also 3rd in the NEC overall with a .853 free throw percentage (64-of-75) and is even better in NEC contests at .923 percent (36-of-39).  The three-time NEC Rookie of the Week, who has scored 20 or more points four times this season, was terrific in his first game against archrival LIU Brooklyn,  pumping in 20 points on 6-of-9 shooting.

The Worldwide Leader

The Dunk
Freshman guard Josh Nicholas completed a ferocious windmill dunk against Notre Dame and the play made ESPN Sports Center's #3 play-of-the-day.  It was the first time a Terrier has ever pulled off a Sports Center Top-10 play.

The Shot
Junior guard Glenn Sanabria swished a catch-and-shoot 3-pointer at the buzzer to send the Robert Morris game into overtime.  The play made ESPN Sports Center's #3 play-of-the-day.  It was the second time a Terrier has ever pulled off a Sports Center Top-10 play.

Jalen Jordan Named NEC Rookie of the Week
St. Francis Brooklyn freshman shooting guard Jalen Jordan was named the NEC Rookie of the Week on November 20th.  Jordan looks to be the latest in a long line of terrific guards in recent years who have suited up for the Terriers. He poured in 22 points, including a 6-11 afternoon from outside the arc, and added four rebounds and a steal in St. Francis Brooklyn's 77-74 win over Brown in its home opener.  He also hit a clutch left-corner trifecta with just over a minute remaining to help secure the victory.

Jalen Jordan Earns 2nd NEC ROW Award
Jordan's second NEC Rookie of the Week honor (1/22/18) came after the 6'3" guard averaged 14.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in St. Francis Brooklyn's 2-0 week. He shot 52.6 percent from the floor, including 50.0 percent from three-point range (5-10), and did not commit a single turnover in 63 minutes of play. Jordan hit 3-5 from distance and finished with 17 points and seven rebounds in Thursday's 81-73 win over the Mount, then came back with 12 points and a career-best eight boards to help lead the Terriers to an 85-80 conquest of Bryant.

Jalen Jordan Earns 3rd NEC ROW Award

In Thursday's rivalry game with LIU Brooklyn, he hit 6-10 from the field and finished with 20 points, five rebounds and two assists in the Terriers' 84-79 victory. Jordan added 10 points, including 2-3 shots from distance, in Saturday's 87-74 triumph over FDU.

Glenn Sanabria Named College Sports Madness POW

St. Francis Brooklyn Guard Glenn Sanabria has been named College Sports Madness NEC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his exceptional performance during the past week's action. College Sports Madness identifies the players who have had the greatest impact to their team from each conference and on a national basis each Monday.

Sanabria averaged 20.5 ppg., 4.0 rpg. and 3.5 apg. in leading St. Francis Brooklyn to a pair of NEC victories last week. The Staten Island native was on fire from behind the arc as he splashed 11-of-18 attempts (.611 percent). The St. Peter's graduate scored 20 points as he drained a career-high six treys to open the week against Mount St. Mary's. Sanabria drilled a long-distance bomb to give St. Francis Brooklyn the lead for good, 51-50, at the 13:40 mark. He also converted both of his free throws with 40 seconds left to help secure the win.

The combo guard then played a tremendous all-around game against Bryant, producing 21 points, five rebounds, five assists and zero turnovers. Again, he converted two clutch free throws with 38 ticks left to help ice the game.

Sanabria leads the NEC with a 2.57 assists/turnover ratio and is 7th in 3-point marksmanship at .421 percent. In NEC contests only, Sanabria is shooting a league-high .545 percent (24-of-44) from behind the arc.
