The St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers fell to the Wagner Seahawks, 73-55, in the final home contest of the season for the Blue and Red. The Terriers dropped to 4-25 (2-14 Northeast Conference) while the Seahawks improved to 14-12 (10-6 NEC).
Senior guard
Yunus Hopkinson, the Terriers' lone senior, was honored prior to the contest and finished with a team-high four assists. Sophomore guard
Glenn Sanabria paced the squad with 12 points and freshman guard
Rasheem Dunn contributed a team-high six rebounds and three steals.
After falling behind 7-2 to open the contest, the hosts got a 3-pointer from Sanabria and a layup by Dunn to even the contest at the 15:20 mark. However, Wagner ran off 10 straight points to move in front for good.
A layup by junior wing
Gunnar Olafsson brought St. Francis Brooklyn within 17-14 with 9:44 left, however that was as close as they would get for the remainder of the contest.
Wagner went on a 13-2 spurt over the next 4:04 to widen their lead to 30-16 after guard JoJo Cooper's (14 points) trifecta with 5:37 left before the break.
The Seahawks took their largest lead of the stanza at 40-25 after center Mike Aaman converted a layup with 2:02 left. St. Francis Brooklyn went into intermission with some momentum as they outscored the visitors by a 7-2 count to close within 42-32 at the break. Sanabria initiated the stretch with a conventional 3-point play and Dunn scored the other four points.
St. Francis Brooklyn was still hanging around after freshman guard
Gianni Ford's circus layup made it 47-36 with 16:45 remaining in the contest. But Wagner scored six consecutive points, four by junior guard Corey Henson (15 points), to build a 53-36 advantage with 15:22 to play.
A layup by freshman forward
Jahmel Bodrick brought the hosts within 53-39 with 13:36 remaining, however, the Seahawks went on a 9-2 spurt to extend the lead to 62-41 with just 8:25 left in the contest. Wagner took their largest lead of the game, 70-45, after freshmen guard Blake Francis (game-high 17 points) converted two free-throws with 5:21 to play.

The Terriers will travel to Central Connecticut State on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m.
