Men’s Basketball’s Unique McLean Competes in 2021 State Farm College Slam Dunk Championship

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – St. Francis College Brooklyn men's basketball graduate guard Unique McLean competed in the 32nd annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships at Hinkle Fieldhouse on the Butler University Campus in Indianapolis on Thursday evening. McLean participated in the IHOP Team Shootout as well as the Great Clips Slam Dunk Championship, which was the main event. The event aired nationally on ESPN2.
 
"I am so glad that I got the opportunity to compete on the national stage in the 2021 State Farm College Slam Dunk Championship. It was an unbelievable experience and it was definitely a great way to end my collegiate career," said McLean as he discussed competing in the College Slam Dunk Championship.
 
The Brooklyn native began his night by teaming up with Montana State's Tori Martell, and Toledo's Spencer Littleson to defeat IUPUI's Elyjah Goss, Abilene Christian's Anna McLeod, and Akron's Loren Cristian Jackson to claim the IHOP Team Shootout Championship.  
McLean was back in action later in the evening as he was one of six participants in the Great Clips Slam Dunk Championship. The guard recorded a third-place finish in the Slam Dunk Championship as he made it all the way to the semifinals. McLean went head-to-head with some of the best dunkers in the nation as the field was comprised of UNC Greensboro's Isaiah Miller, Morgan State's Troy Baxter, Lindenwood's TJ Crockett, IUPUI's Elyjah Goss, and James Madison' Zach Jacobs.
