The Terriers (9-6, 1-1 NEC) go head-to-head with Robert Morris (7-8, 2-0 NEC) on Thursday, January 10, at 9 p.m. in a game that will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network. After falling to Bryant in the NEC opener on January 3, St. Francis Brooklyn bounced back with a road win over Wagner on Saturday, January 5. The Terriers were victorious by the final score of 66-59 behind a career-high 23 points from Jalen Jordan. With the win, the Terriers improved to 4-1 in games following a loss. Robert Morris enters the contest on a three-game winning streak. The Colonials join Sacred Heart as the only two teams in the league at 2-0 after the first two games of the conference slate. The Colonials are coming off a 62-59 win over Mount St. Mary's on Saturday.
ALL-TIME SERIES:
St. Francis Brooklyn is 30-46 all-time against Robert Morris as the teams are set to meet for the 77th time in history. The Terriers and Colonials split the series last season. St. Francis Brooklyn earned a 77-65 victory at the Pope on February 8, 2018, while Robert Morris picked up a narrow 80-79 win in overtime on January 4, 2018, in Pittsburgh, PA. In the Terriers' victory last season over the Colonials, Jalen Jordan poured in 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and went 4-of-7 from three-point range. In the game on January 4, with the Terriers trailing by six points, Glenn Sanabria knocked down a pair of clutch three-pointers to send the game into overtime. The second of the two threes came as time expired and forced the game into overtime. Under coach Braica, the Terriers are 7-9 against Robert Morris and 4-4 at home.
The Terriers and Colonials met in the 2015 NEC Championship game, which saw Robert Morris come out with a 66-63 victory. Glenn Sanabria is the only player on either current roster that participated in the 2015 NEC Championship game. As a then-freshman, Sanabria scored 10 points in 21 minutes of play.
SCOUTING THE COLONIALS:
The Colonials enter the game as one of two undefeated teams in league play through the first week of action. Robert Morris opened conference play with a 69-62 win over Fairleigh Dickinson and then knocked off Mount St. Mary's, 62-59, on Saturday. Robert Morris has been led this season by Josh Williams, the team's leading scorer, who is averaging 15.3 points per game. Williams ranks tied for eighth in the NEC in scoring and has knocked down the most threes in the league with 54. Malik Petteway is averaging 10.8 points and 5.0 rebounds per game off the bench for the Colonials. Petteway leads the conference in field goal percentage with a mark of 54.4 percent.
LAST TIME OUT:
The Terriers earned their first NEC win of the season with a 66-59 victory over Wagner (6-7, 1-1 NEC) on Saturday afternoon. The Terriers grinded out their fourth road win of the season behind a career-high 23-point performance from sophomore guard Jalen Jordan. The guard paced the Terriers with 15 points in the second half of play as St. Francis Brooklyn outscored Wagner, 38-31, in the frame. The four road wins are tied with LIU Brooklyn for the most in the conference. The Terriers closed out the contest with clutch buckets and timely free-throw shooting. Jordan iced the game as he knocked down a three to give the Terriers an eight-point lead with 1:12 to play. St. Francis Brooklyn knocked down its free-throws going 4-of-6 down the stretch en route to the 66-59 victory.
HOME COOKIN':
St. Francis Brooklyn is 5-0 at home this season, and it is coming off a 72-56 defeat of Manhattan on Saturday, December 23. Last season the Terriers posted an impressive 10-3 record on their home court. They went 3-1 at home during non-conference play and 7-2 during their league slate. Since the start of the 2017-18 season, the Terriers are 15-3 at the Pope. The 10 home wins last season were the most for the Terriers since they recorded 13 in 2014-15.
NCAA NET RANKINGS:
St. Francis Brooklyn ranks 220th and fourth among NEC members in the latest NCAA NET rankings (Jan. 4, 2019). The Terriers are behind Wagner (201st), Fairleigh Dickinson (212th), and LIU Brooklyn (219th). The NCAA Evaluation Tool, which will be known as the NET, relies on game result, strength of schedule, game location, scoring margin, net offensive, and defensive efficiency, and the quality of wins and losses.
NEC RANKINGS:
The Terriers have allowed the third-fewest points per game 69.9 ppg), and have the best scoring margin (+1.7) in the NEC this season. St. Francis Brooklyn is tied for the second-toughest team in the conference to shoot against, opposing teams are just shooting 43.8 percent from the field against the Terriers. Opposing teams are shooting only 29.0 percent from behind the arc which is the lowest mark in the conference. St. Francis Brooklyn is the fourth-best rebounding team (38.5 rpg) and have the fourth-best rebounding margin (+0.7) in the league. The Terriers are the third-best defensive rebounding team in the conference averaging 27.0 per game. As a team, the Terriers are blocking 4.3 shots per game and have swatted away 65 shots. They are second in the league in both blocks and blocks per game. They've made the second-most threes per game (8.5) and have the most makes from deep in the league (127).
Jalen Jordan ranks tied for fifth in the NEC in scoring (15.9 ppg) and is the only sophomore ranked in the top five of the conference. NON-CONFERENCE NOTABLES:
The eight non-conference wins were the most for the Terriers since they posted nine during the 2013-14 season. The Terriers went 5-0 at home during non-conference play. St. Francis Brooklyn recorded the most non-conference wins in the NEC, the most home wins (five), were tied for the most road wins (three), had the most wins by 10 or more points (five), and were the only team over .500. The Terriers were on a three-game winning streak from November 24 to December 3. It was the longest winning streak for the Terriers since they won four-straight (Feb. 18-27) to close out the 2015-16 season.

Graduate guard Glenn Sanabria scored his 1,000th career point in a win over Niagara on November 24. Sanabria became the 32nd player to join the Terriers' 1,000-point club and the first since Brent Jones did so on February 5, 2015, against Central Connecticut. He currently is in 20th place on the Terriers' all-time scoring list with 1,117 points after he surpassed four Hall of Famers in Lester Yellin, Ron Arnold, Kevin Henry, and Jim Raftery after scoring 18 points against Wagner on January 5. The next member of the 1,000-point club that he is chasing is Hank Daubenschmidt with a total of 1,129 points in 19th place.
TERRIERS COACHING RECORDS:
St. Francis Brooklyn men's basketball head coach Glenn Braica passed Rody Cooney for third place on the program's all-time wins list for victories by a head coach. Braica has compiled 124 wins over his nine seasons on Remsen Street. Braica is just one of four Terriers' head coaches to win over 100 games in their career.
NEC COACHING VETERANS:
Head coach Glenn Braica and Robert Morris' head coach Andrew Toole are the two longest-tenured head coaches in the NEC as they both took over their respective programs before the 2010-11 season. Toole is the active leader for wins at an NEC institution with 157, Braica is right behind Toole in second with 124. LIU Brooklyn's Derek Kellogg has the most career wins of any coach in the NEC with 180 (nine years at UMass, two years at LIU Brooklyn).
TERRIERS INK QUARTLEBAUM:
On November 16, St. Francis Brooklyn men's basketball announced the signing of Trey Quartlebaum. Quartlebaum is a 6-foot-1, 170-pound guard from Lawrence, KS and attends Lawrence High School. He is originally from Dobbs Ferry, NY and plays AAU ball for KC Run GMC. The guard averaged 13.0 points per game during his junior year at Lawrence and was a Kansas 6A All-State Honorable Mention.
