BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY – Four members of the St. Francis Brooklyn women's swimming and diving team have been honored by the Northeast Conference in the weekly awards, as announced by the conference office Wednesday afternoon.
Mariajose Lopez leads the way, winning NEC Swimmer of the Week, followed by a Rookie of the Week nod for Lorenza Kobaic. Diver

Elayna Pistrin were tabbed Prime Performers.
Lopez won two races against Stony Brook, taking victory in the 1,000-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle. The distance specialist won the 1,000-yard race by over 23 seconds (10:35.68) and won the 500-yard race by over eight seconds (5:11.74).
Kobaic turned her second straight strong weekend, winning the 50-yard freestyle (24.89) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.01). The freshman also helped the 200-yard medley relay team to a win (1:49.29).
Scruton earned her Prime Performer nod by winning the 1-meter dive against the Seawolves. Her score of 234.40 is a team record. She defeated her next closest opponent by nearly eight points. The sophomore also logged a fifth-place finish on the 3-meter dive.
Pistrin rounds out the list of athletes recognized by the conference, as she won two races. She won the 100-yard breaststroke, 400-yard IM and also helped the 200-yard medley relay team to the win. She had a time of 1:06.93 in the 100-yard breaststroke and 4:41.09 in the 400-yard IM.
The Terriers will travel to LIU Brooklyn for a meet this weekend.
