Keshwar Makes 12 Saves; Women's Soccer and UNH Play to Scoreless Draw

Durham, N.H. – The St. Francis Brooklyn women's soccer team and the New Hampshire Wildcats played to a scoreless draw Thursday evening at Wildcat Stadium. The Terriers moved to 1-2-2, while the Wildcats moved to 1-2-1.

How it Happened
  • New Hampshire outshot SFBK 9-1 in the first half. Junior Jamie-Lyn Shimamoto fired a shot high in the 32nd minute.
  • In the 63rd minute, junior Hailey Russell, who led the team with four shots, had a chance stopped by Wildcats' goalkeeper Cat Sheppard.
  • The home team, which outshot the Terriers 27-12, recorded five shots on goal from the 64th to the 72nd minute, but junior Klil Keshwar was there to make the saves.
  • Keshwar, who made a season-high 12 saves, made eight stops in the second stanza.
  • The Terriers out-chanced UNH 2-1 in the first overtime.  Junior Trystan Thompson-Cotterell and senior Lauren Schultz, who registered three shots, had their opportunities go wide.
  • UNH logged three of the four shots in the second extra session.

The Terriers travel to play Fordham Thursday, September 9. The match with the Rams is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
