Easton, PA - The St. Francis Brooklyn women's volleyball team (3-9) lost a 3-0 decision to the Lafayette College Leopards (3-5) on Tuesday evening at the Kirby Sports Center in Easton, Pennsylvania.
The Leopards won the first two sets by scores of 25-20 and 25-18, before the Terriers extended them to extra points in set number three. Despite the Terriers hard fought efforts, Lafayette came away with a 27-25 verdict to close out the match.
Senior Madison Monahan paced the Terriers with 10 kills, racking up a .242 attack percentage, while adding four block assists and three digs.
Sophomore Iremnur Elmas contributed nine kills and served one of St. Francis' two aces.
Freshman Alasha Colon led the defensive effort, tallying 18 digs.
Freshman Cristal Paulino's play directly contributed to 11 Terrier points (6 kills and 5 block assists).
Senior Angelee Ng set her teammates with 31 assists, while adding eight digs, a service ace, a block, and a kill.
The Terriers will next be in action in the Rose Hill section of the Bronx this weekend at the Fordham University Tournament. They will meet Coppin State University on Friday afternoon, and will face the Providence College Friars and the host Fordham Rams in a pair of Saturday matches.
