BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY - The St. Francis Brooklyn men's soccer team has announced that it will be hosting an Alumni Day in celebration of the program's 50th Anniversary on Saturday, September 22.
"To know the Men's Soccer team has such a strong foundation rooted from 50 years of tradition, history and success is a fantastic thing," said head coach
Tom Giovatto. "Our current program, ranging from the student-athletes who compete for us every day, to the coaching/support staff and administrators who support our student-athletes are able to do so in large part because of the student-athletes, coaches and administrators who have come before us. No team is successful on their own, and no program can achieve greatness without the commitment of those who came before."
Since 1968 the men's soccer team has been a stable of the St. Francis College Athletic Department. Each year the program graduates top level student-athletes who continue to compete for the love of the game, and enter their careers with memories that last forever.

Irma Garcia is excited to see so many alumni eager to come back on September 22. "One of the highlights in my time as Director of Athletics has to be when our men's soccer program was able to establish the beautiful Brooklyn Bridge Park as our home field. Winning four Northeast Conference Championships on that field, with the entirety of New York City behind us, goes to show the strength of this program and it's student-athletes. I am proud to know that so many fantastic student-athletes have graduated from our men's soccer program and have been a great representation of St. Francis College."

Alumni game on Pier 5 - 11am-12pm
Terriers Soccer vs. Saint Peter's University - 1pm
Post game Alumni and 50th Anniversary Celebration - approx. 3-5pm, held at Fornino's on Pier 6
$50/per person = Alumni Game, Official 50th anniversary tee shirt, post game celebration with 2hr beer/wine open bar and pizza, salads, snacks at Fornino's
$10/per person = Alumni Game, official 50th Anniversary tee shirt.
