Brooklyn Heights, NY -
The St. Francis Brooklyn Men's Soccer Team (3-4-1, 1-1-0) was defeated by Bryant University (3-3-2, 2-0-0) on Thursday afternoon by a score of 2-0.
The Terriers opened up play strong and saw four corner kicks within the first four minutes of play, followed by the first shot of the contest by Terriers forward
El Mahdi Youssoufi. Jack Bacon in net for the Bulldogs made a fantastic save, which turned out to be the turning point of the match.
On an immediate counter attack, Bryant saw their first goal of the contest from the foot of Kyle Mabe, which came off a bouncing cross from Diego Rodriguez.
Before the Terriers regained composure, Bryant snuck another one behind
David Santiago in net for the Terriers just three short minutes later.
The Terriers pulled themselves together, but despite their 18 shots for the contest could never find the back of the net for the remainder of the game.
The Terriers are now 1-1 in NEC play and travel to Emmitsburg, Maryland to take on Mount Saint Mary's University at 1pm on Sunday.
