The Men's and Women's Cross Country teams competed in the Fordham Fiasco over the weekend.
The Women's team saw 5 Terriers race for a 9th place team finish in Van Cortlandt Park.
Junior Captain
Maria Grijalva led the team with her second strong performance of the year on a very challenging course.
"Today's meet at VCP was more of a lesson for me. This course really shows what your strengths and weaknesses are and I know what I want to focus on and improve on for the rest of the season." Grivalja was followed at the finish by

Jonna Pierce,
Perla Rodriguez and
Esther Richardson. Claire Cushing from St. John's University crossed the finish line first; however the team win went to Fordham University.
In their second meet of the year the St. Francis College Men's team was led by Junior, Shedrick Rodriguez. After the race, the Brooklyn native felt focused throughout the run. "I felt like the race went smooth and my mindset was one hundred percent locked in. The race today made me more excited for conference champs because I know this is just the beginning of good things to come."
Shedrick was followed by Willard Parker and Senior Captain, Tavis Charvis. Pelle Nogueira of Manhattan college was the overall winner and St Joseph's (PA) took home the the team victory.
The Terrier Men's and Women's Cross Country teams are looking forward to the upcoming Paddy Doyle Meet of Champions on Friday, September 17, 2021 back at Van Cortlandt Park. The Terriers are focused on what is next as they continue to prepare for the NEC Conference championships on October 30th at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, CT.
