Briana Guzman enters her second season as an Assistant Coach for the St. Francis College Brooklyn men’s and women’s volleyball teams. Guzman helped guide the Terriers’ women’s volleyball team to its most wins in 20 years in 2019 and she played an instrumental role in launching the men’s volleyball team’s inaugural season in 2020.
 
She began her collegiate coaching career as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at Saint Peter’s where she worked on Amable Martinez’ staff from 2017-18. Guzman reunited with Coach Martinez when he accepted the Terriers’ women’s volleyball Head Coaching position before the 2019 campaign.
 
Guzman was a standout women’s volleyball student-athlete at St. John’s where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management in 2016. Guzman was a middle blocker and ranked fourth on the team in blocking and recorded a .289 hitting percentage. Following her time at St. John’s, she completed her eligibility at Rider and earned her Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership – Life and Career Coaching. At Rider, she ranked fourth on her team with a .238 attack percentage and ranked second on the team with 61 total blocks. Over the course of her collegiate playing career, Guzman collected All-Academic honors in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
 
Guzman attended Science Park High School where she played volleyball for then Head Coach Amable Martinez and was a two-time All-Super Essex Conference First Team selection.
