Prior to SFC: Douglas, who was named to the New York Post Third Team All Bronx squad, averaged 17.3 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game in his senior season at FDA III. He helped lead the Lions to a 27-2 record and a berth in the Class “B” Finals against Pathways, which happened to be held at St. Francis College. Douglas scored 23 points on his future home court after racking up 26 points and 13 rebounds in the quarterfinals against August Martin, and he also added 16 points against Medgar Evers in the semifinals. Douglas also averaged 19.9 points and 11.3 rebounds per game as a junior.
