WILLIAMSBURG, Vir. - The St. Francis Brooklyn track and field team will return to Remsen Street with three medals and four top-ten finishes after a promising weekend at the IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships, hosted by William & Mary. The men's team totaled 13 points in the IC4A Championships, good for 22nd place out of 36 teams.
Sunday began strong for the Terriers, as Malachi Aiken finished just off the podium in the triple jump final. His best jump of 14.97m was good for fourth place. Jordan Moorer (13.81m), Xavier Wright (13.71m), and Kayshaw Saravia (12.97m) also participated in the event.
In the remaining field event the Terriers qualified for, Damilare Oyetibo (47.40m) placed tenth in the discus final.
SFBK placed well in two of their top events on the track. The consistent men's 4x400m relay team (Terell Howard, Brian Strachn, Daniel Hernandez, Makhi Theosmy) took the team's highest finish in a race throughout the weekend, placing fourth after crossing the line in 3:15.85.
Strachn (21.58) earned a solo medal after placing sixth in the 200m dash final. Theosmy also participated in that final, as well as the 400m dash final. Hernandez (48.90) also took park in the 400m dash.
Representing for the Terriers' women's team, Armani Dunkley turned in a 25.57 time in the 200m dash.
This is the first points scored by the Terriers at the meet since Kristal Williams placed sixth in the 100m finals in 2015.
With the meet in the books, the team's 2022 outdoor season has concluded.
