Alyssa Fisher of the St. Francis Brooklyn women's basketball program has been named Northeast Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native continued to build on her stellar season, contributing a career-high 30 points against Lafayette on Wednesday.
It was the third time this season Fisher scored over 20 points in a contest and the fifth time she logged 19 or more points. Against the Leopards, she made 10 field goals and knocked down seven three-pointers. She made her first seven shots and scored 18 points in the first quarter alone.
Fisher is fourth in the NEC, averaging 14.9 points per game. She is second in total points (179). She is averaging 17 points per game in her last two games and has made 19 field goals over that span.
The Terriers will return to Brooklyn for their conference opener with Merrimack on Monday, January 2. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
