THE BRONX, NY - St. Francis Brooklyn women's swimming and diving rolled to a 163-87 win over Manhattan Saturday afternoon. The team was led by sophomore Elayna Pistrin, who won three events on the day.
Pistrin notched victories in the 100-yard IM, 500-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly. Her times were 1:00.08, 5:22.91 and 59.49. She was the only swimmer to break the one-minute mark in the 100-yard butterfly.
Teammate Boel Bergquist won the 100-yard breaststroke event with a time of 1:11.04. She also took second in the 100-yard IM.
Mariajose Lopez won the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:41.48.
Laetitia Bouc also had a victory, finishing the 50-yard freestyle in 27.48 seconds. Catheryne Motoda won the 50-yard breaststoke (34.54), as she was victorious by over a second.
The 200-yard medley relay team of Lotte Backx, Pistrin, Melie Boulianne and Isabella Colares won their event by under a second to the team of Margo Koets, Raquel Torrez, Bouc and Lopez (1:56.03, 1:56.90).
The Terriers are back in action Saturday, November 5 at Wagner with Felician.
